OHY Yakira

Luna is a great proven mother, usually has nice large calves. She Gave birth to a beautiful, Imperial Trim Heifer on 9/21/20. Luna is from fantastic lines and produces calves with excellent fiber. She has produced a calf for us every year. Luna was part of the second group of yak we purchased when we started our herd late 2014. Luna was bottle raised and then turned out with a large herd before we bought her. She is always eager to see what treats you may have brought for her, which she will eat from your hand. She doesn’t care to be petted, but she is easy to be around and has never shown any type aggression. Even with a calf at her side she has never shown any type of aggressive behavior. We are reluctant to sell her, but we are a small operation and are focusing on keeping our most tame ladies that enjoy us as much as we enjoy them.
